AWD and 4x4 Vehicles in the Bay Area
Most Bay Area drivers who want four driven wheels want them for two trips a year: snow on the way to Tahoe, and a wet coastal road. That is an AWD job. A 4x4 with a transfer case and low range is a different tool, and worth the trade-offs only if you leave pavement.
