What photos should I upload?
Four to twelve clear photos: the front, the back, both sides, the dash showing the miles, and the interior. Daylight helps, and so does a close-up of any damage, so the estimate matches the car.
Does a trade-in lower my sales tax in California?
No. California doesn't give a sales-tax credit for a trade-in: tax is charged on the full selling price of the car you're buying. Your trade's value lowers what you pay or finance, not the taxable amount.
Can I trade in a car I still owe money on?
Yes. Put your lender and payoff amount in the notes. We confirm the payoff with your lender. If the offer is more than you owe, the difference is yours: it goes toward your next car, or to you if you're selling. If it's less, we go over the difference with you before anything is signed.
